Miguel Rothschild

In the monograph with the title Premonition, Miguel Rothschild (*1963) presents a selection of works from his two most recent series. The Berlin-based, Argentine artist occupies himself in them with spirits and the apocalypse. The mystically connoted photographs of skies and forests are given a second levelin terms of both content and the visualby means of burn holes. Here, the spirits of the forest ascend between the treetops, there it is a baroque or romantic sky that receives these demonic and at the same time alluring souls. Rothschilds ambiguous visions prompt us to interrogate our relationship to nature.
